Join Monumental Meditation for a mindful adventure into the magical heart and soul of America’s Grand Southwest! Weekend adventure wellness retreat focused on finding balance, connection and healing in the natural world. Studies have proven that time in nature helps us to relax, thereby reducing stress. Beautiful daily hikes take us to off the beaten path locations for quiet exploration and reflection. Meditation and focused breath work offer relaxation techniques to balance the mind-body connection, learning to be present in the moment.

Our small wellness retreats, up to 8 guests, offers time and space for learning and healing. Jennie, Mark, Debra & Alex are holding sacred space, welcoming you to our family of likeminded souls on a journey to be our best selves. Truly digital detox, airplane mode required, internet in the middle of nowhere is spotty at best. LOCATION

Marble Canyon Lodge, Arizona – Lee’s Ferry Grand Canyon

This retreat will be held at the Marble Canyon Lodge in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Park. This is an eco-friendly venue. This beautiful oasis in the desert offers spectacular view, an authentic canvas tent for sound healing and locations for private outdoor yoga and meditation.

 

ACCOMMODATIONS (Price is for 2 people)

Marble Canyon Lodge offers well-appointed rooms for up to four guests. The lodge has undergone a three-year complete renovation with beautiful rooms and all the amenities. The hotel includes a beautiful restaurant serving local specialties and regional favorites as well as a coffee shop with snacks & sweets to go. The gift shop is well stocked for last minute travel items and gear.

Based in beautiful Page, Arizona, this Monumental Meditation program includes exploration of mystical slot canyons, majestic viewpoints, and lush water oasis.

They are excited to offer these weekend retreat that focuses on health, well-being, and mindfulness. They will celebrate the beauty and power to heal within. Awe-inspiring nature awaits! Activities and classes are tailored for each group based on intention and experience. Includes private workshop instructors for all classes and adventure tours with area partners and indicated meals. This weekend retreat begins on Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. They have partnered with Marble Canyon Lodge to provide rooms and meeting space for your gatherings.

Healing in nature

Today, more and more studies have shown the healing effects of just being in nature. You need time to reconnect to wide-open spaces. Northern Arizona and Southern Utah abound in places of solitude. You will quietly and mindfully explore the areas' famous canyons of the Vermilion Cliffs and the mighty waters of the Colorado River in Marble Canyon. Mother Earth will provide the backdrop for relaxing breath and meditation, gentle mindful hikes, and quiet exploration. A reawakening of the mind-body connection.

Breath and the mind-body connection

Breath, it sounds so simple, you all do it without giving it a thought, but there are many ways to breathe. From Dr. Andrew Weil and John Cabot-Zinn to Buddha, along with other teachers, have shared their sacred understanding of the importance of breath in your health. Your journey will offer reminders and techniques to breathe, enhancing the body-mind connection.

Relaxation and meditation practices

You begin with sunrise gratitude ceremonies each morning and sunset meditation, reminding you to celebrate each and every day. Your easy-to-moderate hikes focus on mindfulness as you gently explore the elements of your surroundings. In the stillness, listening to the wind as it sweeps through the canyons, hearing birds adrift on the thermals, insects singing, falling pebbles, your breath. You bring flutes and drums as part of your sound healing program to enhance the mind-body connection.

Sound healing

Mark is our Reiki Master/Teacher and sound healing guide as part of your journey. This ancient art of sound healing is supported by scientific research. The tone and vibration of instruments can stimulate various parts of the brain. The mind-body connection through sound healing is an integral part of your journey.

Gentle stretch and restorative yoga

You have found that yoga can sometimes be a scary word for new students. However, as you know stretch and restorative practices help the mind-body connection. Your yoga practices celebrate a gentle morning stretch and after your adventures, a gentle restorative relaxation. For those more advanced students, opportunities are available for more traditional yoga practices.
